We’re growing! And we’re looking for a few good peeps to bring along for the ride. We need a few good staff, primarily to manufacture pre-rolls. This full-time position in the Whitby area requires attention to detail and a good work ethic; accuracy and consistency are the keys to success!

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • As part of our team, qualified individuals will have a positive attitude and a desire to develop within the rapidly growing cannabis industry, and be a part of our team.
  • Ensure compliance at all times with security protocols, and maintain strict compliance with our standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • This role is focused on making high-quality pre-roll joints. Duties will include sanitation, milling and weighing cannabis, and filling/folding/making pre-rolls with and without the aid of machines (product dependent).
  • Sanitize and set up related production equipment and supplies required for production.
  • Sanitize, organize and prepare all production and processing areas.
  • Complete all required documentation including sanitation logs, batch records, etc.
  • Occasionally assist with other production areas as demand requires.

While these are entry-level positions, we’re growing at a rapid pace and we do have a need for additional staff with a higher skill set. There is much room for growth with us if you have the willingness to learn and the motivation to succeed.

Bonus points to any applicants who are familiar with the Cannabis Act and/or Regulations, and those who have experience in the cannabis space.

We are looking for technicians and team leads to operate and maintain our Technophar soft-gel encapsulation machine and related equipment. You’ll need to strictly adhere to our Standard Operating Procedures, GMP requirements, The Cannabis Act and its Regulations, Natural Health Products manufacturing regulations, and more.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform day-to-day encapsulation operations.
  • Accurately document productions in a Master Batch Record.
  • Identify and handle bulk materials and inform management of stock levels.
  • Manufacture batches of gelatin to be used in encapsulation.
  • Set up and assembly of encapsulation machine prior to run; wedges, die timing, spreader boxes, heaters, temperature settings, etc.
  • Assemble and adjust parameters for the tumble dryer.
  • Maintain appropriate lubricant in equipment at all times.
  • Use the microscope to inspect capsule seams and adjust the encapsulation machine accordingly.
  • Disassemble and clean all equipment related to encapsulation post-production; spreader boxes, tumble dryer baskets, conveyors, drying trays, gelatin melter, and associated tanks, etc.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Collaborate and follow the production schedule.
  • Clean and maintain the API equipment and medicine pumps.
  • Sanitize all equipment, and spaces (doors, walls, etc).

REQUIREMENTS

  • Clean criminal record and background check.
  • 1+ years experience in Softgel manufacturing
  • Strong familiarity with following SOP’s and completing MBR’s.
  • Reliable and able to work as a team.
  • Be mechanically inclined; some assembly is required.
  • Working knowledge of personal computer programs (i.e. Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with NHP or the Cannabis Regulations is a bonus.
